I had been asking my sister for some advice on helping me put together a what’s app message I had been stalling on replying to. You know the ones, where you know it warrants a response but are not quite sure how you feel about the situation and know you need to word the message carefully. Things can easily become misconstrued in text right? She actually wasn’t much help and said I would know what to write once I started. So I did. And she was right. She then casually mentioned I should start a blog.
Inspired, I spontaneously downloaded this app and have sat on it the past few days not sure how to navigate it or where to start. Then I received a perfectly timed email from WordPress advising me that the best way to start a blog is to just write and sort out the rest as you go along. So here I am.
Who am I? Why would you want to read my blog? Well, I’m not sure that anyone would want to actually read what I write and that’s okay. I’m just going to write for me and if anyone happens to find it interesting then the more the merrier.
Becoming me, the me I am today at least, discovering myself and loving who I am has been a long, windy and often rocky road. I really believe that standing in your truth never comes from a place of ease. Rock bottom is where the growth is. And believe me I’ve been there. I’ve also come out of the other side and couldn’t be prouder of my journey. I’ve got three children, I proudly own my flaws and I love life. I’ve made mistakes and I’ll make more but I’m also one of the bravest people I know.
So welcome to My Voice Is My Password. The title came to me spontaneously too. But I actually love it. Because it was when I found my voice that I realised that no one can take my power away from me. It is my voice that is the key to my life. And I’m going to use it.
